CHAPTER

The little trail that led to the swimming hole was more rugged than the trail from the truck to the river. I followed Jesse as he snapped branches under his heavy boots, and he cleared the way for me, kicking big stones out of the path and even bending down to roll a big log out of the way. The trees were so thick here that the intertwined branches above us, blocked out the sky, creating a cool, dark tunnel. It felt very private, like a shortcut no one but the two of us knew about, like the secret hideout I had always wanted as a kid. As I picked my way carefully around the rocks and branches, I was becoming more nervous by the second. There was some rustling in the bushes that might have been wild animals, but that wasn’t what I was nervous about; I kept racking my brain, wondering what Calvin might think of all this. First, he would return to the riverbank with the fishing poles and not find us there; later, he would find out that not only did I go off with his brother, but we were going skinny dipping, alone.

I knew how jealous Calvin could get. I had seen that ugly side of him before, when we’d been out at clubs drinking. One time, he stormed off and left me stranded a club because he said I was letting a guy rub up on me. He forgot to realize that the club was so crowded, I could barely raise my arms, let alone prevent someone for rubbing up on me. Those jealous feelings only seemed to intensify around his brother. Despite his flaws, Calvin was the closest person I had in my life; I hoped that I was going to do anything that I’d regret.

That said, my cock had a different story to tell. I had to do whatever I could to keep it pinned down and in control as we continued along the trail and Jesse kept looking back and smiling at me. As I followed in the large footprints his boots made in the dirt, I watched his body move ahead of me. I was already picturing him naked.

The rocky trail grew steeper as it led up a hill between two dense thickets of trees. As I looked up at it, I knew that my thighs and butt would be getting quite a workout—the incline on the treadmill at the gym had nothing on this! I’m sure climbing up at an angle like this was nothing to Jesse, who had grown up in this mountainous terrain and who regularly lifted heavy loads and did back-breaking farm chores like chopping wood, but instead of heading straight up, Jesse turned back and extended his hand to me.

“Come on, now,” he said kindly as I took his hand and he pulled me up. His hand felt large and slightly calloused, but soft—as if he used those hands tenderly caring for the calves on his ranch and making love all night to his girl.
